Chennai's first global fashion event: Chennai International Fashion week

Chennai is now becoming a hub of fashion and lifestyle. Designer labels, lifestyle magazines and fashion shows are becoming the order of the day.
Keeping up with this changing trend, Strom Fashions is organizing the Chennai International Fashion Week (CIFW), the first global fashion event to be held in Chennai. The fashion week will bring 10 international designers who will showcase their collections and 10 international beauty pageant winners from various countries walking the ramp for the first time in Chennai. The event will take place in Le Royal Meridian Chennai from December 14 to 20. Besides the international faces, 30 Indian designers will also present their collections in 60 fashion shows.
CIFW will also have top cine stars, sportspersons, achievers and international personalties walking the ramp. The show will begin with Pria Kataaria Puri's designs. The fashion week would be a treat for the eyes with lots of colour and glamour.
Headed by Gaurav Sharma, a marketing and services professional, the CIFW team's advisers include Shakthi Girish (Editor, Galatta Cinema), Girish Ramdas (President Galatta.com), Pratap Pothen, Arun Mammen and Meera Chopra (actress).
